Hillary...

Emails honestly don't bother me.

Haven't looked much into the CF allegations yet.

Glad she took the governors request to not visit for a photo op.

Email situation is atrocious. I don't get how anyone can overlook it. Even people here that I like and respect, I don't get how it's not a big deal.

Clinton Foundation is one giant self-serving money pot under the guise of "helping hands."

Like anything - when there's so much smoke, there's fire.

Re: Hillary...

The Gov of Louisiana asked politicians to not come down for a photo op, since it takes desperately needed resources away from rescue, recovery, rebuilding, etc, and puts them on babysitting patrol for the politicians. Trump came down for a few minutes, did nothing productive, and wasted time and resources that should have been used more productively elsewhere. Both Obama and Clinton are planning on visiting when they won't be as much in the way. (They still will, but less so if they go after the initial problems are dealt with).

I'm very party agnostic when it comes to disasters and politicians. I don't think any politician of any party needs to visit a disaster site while immediate action is in full swing. I wasn't upset that Bush didn't physically go to LA immediately. He went after the initial crisis was over.

The President needs to make resources available (funds, people, etc) immediately, and make sure things are being addressed.

Exactly, the email situation is a huge deal! If anyone else in government did this they would be locked up. My father has worked for the government for 40+ years is the same ranking as a general in the army. I know for damn sure if he ever pulled that he would be locked up. As I child I remember we were never allowed to even look at his government computer because God forbid we did something his job would be in jeopardy.

She would NEVER have my vote, not in a million years.

Hillary...

This country makes me laugh. Everyone is demonizing Ryan Lochte for lying and he is losing his sponsorships and will most likely be suspended from swimming but our Democratic Nominee lies about something alot more serious and people are ok with that. Whatever happens in November we are in trouble for the next 4 years.

She didnt stay away cause the goverener asked people too...lame excuses...

Trump didnt go down and take away any resources from anyone. No one can ever say positive about this man. Its sickening... id rather have him run this country than that sick excuse for a human being clinton.

I'm not sure I understand the issue with the Clinton Foundation. From what I read online, it seems like people were asked to donate to the foundation for face time with Hillary or Bill. But the foundation is non-profit and helps with education. So I don't see the issue.

Additionally, why didn't anyone get bent out of shape when Cheney's Haliburton made huge profits off the Iraq war? How is that any different?

Re: Hillary...

I have been a republican my entire life. I have never voted for a democrat, ever. But I will be voting for Clinton in this election. Had it been just about any other candidate I would have voted against her but alas, my options are Trump or Clinton. Out of those 2 options the only choice for me is Clinton. There are many qualifications that I want in a president that neither of them possess but at the very least I expect them to be intelligent and have a knowledge of our constitution, laws and government. I feel that, frankly, Trump in unintelligent and hateful. We have minimum requirements for most jobs in terms of qualifications but somehow not for president. I think he is unqualified. So its not that I love Clinton or defend her actions, it is that I loathe him and think he is an imbecile.

With regards to her emails that doesn't concern me as much as even Colin Powell admits to using his personal email during his time in that position.

Again, I felt that visiting Louisiana was a PR move on Trumps part as he is not actually in a position to do anything down there. Do I think the president should have gone? Absolutely! The Candidates? Nope - that is just pr.

Re: Hillary...

Because I would not be able to live with myself if I voted for Trump. Seriously, my integrity and morals and everything I believe is the complete antithesis of what he stands for. He stands for commercialism, xenophobia, bigotry, and pure unadulterated greed. He disrespects and mocks the very people he claims to represent. He feeds into the hatred of this country without shame, he represents everything that is so very wrong with our country, this world, and he enjoys every single second of it without reproach. He is a narcissistic sociopath who lacks basic communication and compassion, who lacks empathy, who feeds off insecurity, and for whom winning the presidency would just be the icing on his proverbial cake. He has no definable stances on any issues that are important to my life. I don't look at what the president will do in my lifetime, I look to what he will do that can have lasting effects on my children, my grandchildren, the future generations that won't stand a chance if eh is elected. He has not one shred of decency, let alone experience, and in good conscious I will never, ever support him.

Hillary is no angel. I know that. The email scandal IS a big deal - I am not denying that. But when I look at the big picture of her platform, her four decades of experience, her ability to effectively communicate, her polished and professional appearance, the fact that the GOP literally drags her through the mud and has launched investigation after investigation only to come up emptyhanded, her singular perseverance in spite of being torn down at every turn, she is a ******* badass. She is a politician for everything good and bad that stands for - but she is real and authentic and she's not sitting around pouting and getting into Twitter wars! Twitter wars! I mean, how the hell do you even compare her to Trump when he goes on a social media tirade? It's downright laughable. She has a solid platform of issues, and waffling and changing stances is simply par for the course (lest you all forget, politics is a game) but AT LEAST SHE HAS THEM. Oh, let me support this blowhard dude with a bad toupee even though I have no clue what he's gonna do for us, but yeah MURICA BUILD THAT WALL TRUMP! She has literally built her career on clawing her way into a boys club that is terrified of her - terrified of her abilities, terrified of her femininity, terrified of change, and she still doesn't give a shit.

It's a g-damn shame that the GOP has ripped her to shreds for thirty years but she hasn't given up. And that's why they round up all sorts of concocted conspiracies and she still prevails. And it's even more a shame that people who get their info from Breitbart and Bill O'Reilly and Nancy Grace cannot even see the disgusting double standard that exists between her and Trump.

He can mock the disabled.

He can race bait.

He can spew hatred and vitriol.

He can have no experience and lack morals and yet somehow be the golden child of the moral right?

And no one bats an eye.

So yeah, that's why I'm voting for Hillary. She is not perfect, but she doesn't stand for everything that disgusts me with this country.

ETA: No, I am not angry that she did not go to Louisiana. Like others have said, diverting necessary resources away from the community to a presidential nominee IS WRONG. I am not persuaded by these staged photo ops that show Trump pretending to do good down there. He doesn't really care - he just wanted to look good. I am not blinded by this kind of fakery.

Show me one politician who has never lied.

How many Republicans have been involved in sex scandals, fraud, kickbacks, and charged with crimes while maintaining their "religious and moral superiority?"

Trump has pocketed nearly $8m of political contributions for his business and personal use - why no outrage there? Why no outrage on his failed businesses? Why no outrage on Halliburton and Cheney and the war in Iraq that was created purposely to line their pockets? Don't come for Hillary unless you can answer those questions.

It's not.

With regard to the Clinton Foundation, their donors seem to be high rollers. Maybe it's not all above board but they're not ripping off regular people. Unlike Trump, who stiffs contractors and little kids who dance at his rallies.

I read a piece written by a woman and her experience of being in New Orleans after Katrina. She was waiting with others to be rescued, but Bush was coming to town so many resources were diverted to him. The governor asked Obama to wait, and he did.

And I feel like the media is all over Hillary. None of this is being swept under the rug.

I still don't understand why people are saying she lied. She didn't. No matter how much spin is put on it. No matter how much FOX news says she did. She didn't. And even if she did, meh. Its emails. I really dont care.

Murder who? Are you talking about Benghazi> The same probs that found her clear? That showed the GOP pulled funding for protecting foreign protection? The same Benghazi that the GOP spent millions of OUR money to investigate over and over and over and over and over and kept coming up that she had nothing to do with?

The same person that didn't go for a 45 second photo op to pull resources from the job of saving people?

Yeah. She is no prize, but she is smart and ready to lead.
