So you think they'll be bored? I was thinking of taking them another day when we go to the city. I haven't been in a long time so I don't remember if it's good for those ages.

Zoo! Especially if it's nice out. My boys do like museums too and they're the same age. We had a blast when we went to DC and did the smithsonian.
I'd save the museum for Fall or cooler day. We also loved the movie Night at the Museum. That's a good one to watch before you take them. We've seen all 3.

DS loved the museum. We just did dinosaurs and African mammals. We did the park and Diana Ross playground in the park, its directly across from the museum. The zoo is more fun, but no I don't think they'd be bored.

Maybe for boys it's good but I can tell you my DD has ZERO interest in dinosaur bones or anything in that museum. Unless they unveil a My Little Pony exhibit she'd be bored to tears.

I would say the zoo. But both of my girls (& my boy) loved the museum at 9 and 7 (& 4)!

Which one is better?
My dd is two and we go to both the zoo and the museum of natural history- she likes the museum by she LOVES the zoo. She is not bored in the museum and she loves seeing the dinosaur bones.

Just took 3.5 year old DD to the Museum of Natural History. She loved the dinosaurs and planetarium- was def not bored. I do agree that the zoo is more fun, but I think the museum is also worth a trip.

Which one is better?
When I was a kid I hated the zoo but LOVED the Museum of Natural History, so I would say it definitely depends on the child!
