Mom's with boys first haircut
How old was your ds? My little guy has quite the head of hair at ten months. It's almost in his eyes. But wondering if it's too early to bring him to little clippers or children's "barber. "

we are going to do it ASAP he is 11 mo tomorrow. it's been growing like crazy for the last month.
we have a lot going on so it may end up being for his first bday party tho

Many places don't do it til 1 year but I took my DS at 11 months to DHs barber and he did it no problem.

I had to give in at around 8 months. His hair reached to his chin! I did the first cut myself at home and a couple after as well. We didn't go to a hair salon until he was turning a year old.

DH's barber gave DS1 his first trim at 8 months. He had a ton of hair!! DS2 is on track for the same... at five months old, the front of his hair already goes on his eyes sometimes!

The only reason we were able To wait until a year was because his hair was so curly it wasn't getting in his eyes. If it was getting in his eyes I would have cut it much sooner. But be warned, their faces change with that haircut, they no longer look like little babies, they look like toddlers after. That was hard to watch....

Ok, I'm going to bring him in the next few weeks. Ughhh I'm so not ready. He is growing up too fast. Jess to your comment above, I think I'm going to have a serious mommy meltdown. :(

I literally made it to his 1st birthday pics which were taken at 11.5 months. Next day he was getting a big boy haircut!

I made it to 14 months with DS and it honestly could have gone longer but it go messy looking not really terribly long.

I swear if E wasn't having a bit of a fit himself, I would have been hysterical. We went the night before Thanksgiving and my whole family got so mad at us!

My DS has very little hair on the top of his head but was developing a bit of a mullet around 19 months. I trimmed up the back myself. He's finally getting some hair on the top of head.
