Non- religious Christmas Eve traditions

What are your non-religious Christmas Eve traditions? Growing up we sang carols and opened one gift (pjs) then drove around looking at lights effort heading to midnight mass. Since getting married (before kids) we watched the Rankin Bass stuff (Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Rudolph, etc), but I'd like to do something else with kids. I was thinking of making cookies and sausage balls to leave for Santa, and sprinkling reindeer food (oats and sprinkles) in the yard, but that's all I got. :)

Re: Non- religious Christmas Eve traditions

Since my parents host Christmas, we take a break from the cooking/cleaning/baking/wrapping and have a casual dinner at my aunt's house down the block. She started doing it a few years ago just to relieve my mom from some of the pressure.
