DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM SEARS
Just a PSA:
Do yourself a favor and do not purchase anything from Sears. Like Ever. Going into month #3 trying to have my NEW refrigerator repaired. 3 visits (all 2-3 weeks out), 2 replacement pieces and the third doesn't even fit the unit. I am currently in an online battle with their customer service for a full refund. I don't even want a replacement bc that will be a lemon too. Just sharing my crappy experience.
And it's not even a 1/4 of the whole story.
BUYER BEWARE
Even if they start giving things away for FREE, I won't touch it.
UPDATE: They have agreed to break their own rules and send me a replacement refrigerator. I needed another tech visit before being eligible for replacement, but because of the horrific customer service and run around, they made an exception.
The only reason this happened is because I put them on Blast on FB and # Pc Richards Now lets see when it will arrive.
P.S. Even though I finally got someone who was willing to help me, I still will never step foot into another sears.

I agree. Sears is crap to deal with. All I hear are horror stories. I would try and get a refund thru your credit card assuming you didn't use a Sears card.

Ugh! I would call and get a manager on the phone asap.AND post on FB and Twitter to complain. It is the only way to get attention and help.

Agreed.
My sister bought a refrigerator from Sears, major problems.
Same thing, had repair guy " attempt" to fix it, didn't. Instead the fridge leaked into the basement and caused major damage.
Stay away.

If you haven't already done so, use social media. If you tweet or post on their Facebook page, they are more likely to resolve the issue to your satisfaction.

I am in a FB discussion with a "manager" as per them. I doubt very highly that it's even so. But you're right, this is getting me some attention at least. I called and called and called. 25 minutes on hold, 15 minutes on hold, nada. On FB, at least I'm talking to someone
This has consumed WAY too much of my time. Way Way Way too much

Funny that you say this because my coworker just told me how Sears was supposed to deliver her fridge between 9&11 and when she called at 12 to see where they were, she was told that the fridge was damaged so they took it back. No phone call or anything.

I agree. I have a nightmare of a story about the wrong mattress delivered while pregnant on bed rest. ..and they soooo did wrong by me for way too long before I got the right mattress and a 25$ gift card

My closest Sears used to have a two-level store in the mall. They condensed down to one level and Primark is taking over their other floor. Not a good sign IMO. We had such issues with them a few years ago when we bought a dishwasher- it had more to do with the people they subcontracted the delivery to- but I saw that as failure on their part too as they need to vet who they hire.
Between that and the fact that they carry Kardashian krap, I seldom shop there anymore.

I have bought every single appliance I have ever owned from Sears (and that is alot). I have NEVER had one issue and think very highly of my dealings with them. They actually just replaced my range THREE times because of defects. I personally can't say anything bad about them.

We bought our refrig, washer and dryer from them last year and no issues. The delivery guys were awesome too. Sorry you are having issues.

Up until this point, we have used Sears for a lot of our appliances. Take a look at their FB page. Nothing but complaints. If I had looked there when I was looking to buy this 2nd fridge, I would have never bought it.
Here's to hoping the replacement appliance will work.

No worries. When this happens they outsource their warranties to a third party. You will still be covered..and it may even be better service.

Well yes, in that sense, they were minor defects when the appliance arrived. But glad they actually easily replaced and redelivered on time each time. I have never had an issue with them or their products, ever. Of course I don't like that it had something wrong each time (I may have been being highly critical, I am very picky), but have heard MUCH worse horror stories about dealing with LOWES and them not even replacing products.

I've had issues in the past with them too over repairs.
What a lot of people don't realize is they contract all of this stuff out to random vendors so nothing ever gets resolved if there is a problem.
I was so steamed with them never keeping their appts, I just ended up picking a repairman off google who showed up right away and fixed my old washing machine.
We've since bought from somewhere other than Sears.

FYI, even if you used a Sears credit card, you can still file a dispute. Most stores don't own the banks their cards are issued through.

Could have wrote this exact story last summer!!!!!!!!!!!! I was pregnant with twins set #2 and they saw me coming after the second "new" fridge broke. I ended up getting the Samsung 4 door fridge (which originally was way out of our price range) without having to pay any extra and told them I wanted it delivered "before my milk went bad."
Totally feel your pain!!!
