What do you use to keep your hard wood floors clean?
We purchased a new home that has all hardwood floors downstairs. So far I have been using a stick vacuum to clean the floors every three days. What else do I have to do to keep the floors looking pristine? Thanks.

Murphy's I dilute with water because it's very potent. Then, I use the old-school Libman Wonder Mop!!! I love that thing! And I mop my floors. I would say, once every other week (Keep in mind, I'm a little fanatical). I think you would be good with once a month because there's sweeping and swiffering upkeep in between KWIM?

A floor refinisher recently told me that Bona and Murphys add an oil sheen to the floor and it starts a bad cycle for the floors. To just use something mild like a drop of dawn and water. Never heard that before.

I vacuum, and then use Murphy's with warm water, and a rag. Scrub on my hands and knees once a week. In between I swiffer.

we used murphys to REALLY clean (which we never really do) prefinished wood floors-- and it left a waxy build up too. we mixed with water (maybe not enough) ...

What do you use to keep your hard wood floors clean?
I vacuum once a week and sweep in between. I use an ocedar spray mop once a week or more if/where needed. It uses washable microfiber pads and I fill with water and about 2tbs of vinegar. It works great with no odor, no build up, and dries very quickly.

Every other week I use some diluted vinegar and a drop or two of dawn soap with my libman wonder mop. It leaves no build up and I feel like it really cleans the floors.
I've used Murphys and the floors look nice afterward but there is a build-up if you ask me.

I vacuum first, then use the Bona spray with the Bona mop to clean the floor, and then I use a hardwood Shine with a cloth mop (I only use the shine about once a month).
I used to use Murphy's on it diluted in water but it really didn't give it the shiny clean look I wanted. It just looked oily to me.

I vacuum as needed and alternate between swifter wet cloths and a steam mop. I use the steam mop maybe once every other week, and the swifter wet clothes probably once a week.
