Same! Excited, nervous, etc. I ran over the 59th street bridge this weekend to start getting familiar with the course, and not going to lie, I started getting emotional thinking about what that will be like on 11/2. I'm running 20 on Saturday with Fred's team, and then will start to taper. How is your training?

SO excited for you girls but I am sad I am not doing do it. I had to skip this year with a new job and a 2 year old I decided this was not the year for me. You girls will do great I will be there cheering for sure!

I am running with freds team but training on my own bc I can't always get into the city. Running 18. Then taper. I don't go longer then 18 in training.

How do you girls get in? Charity? I put in to win guarenteed entry next year so I'm hoping and praying. This year was out anyway since I'm 26 weeks pregnant.
Good luck to all! So jealous! It's on my bucket list for sure.

I previously got in via 9+1, but then had to drop out due to injury.
This year, I am running with Fred's Team which is the Charity affiliated with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Charity.

I'm not feeling great about my training but that's because I have hamstring tendonitis. No speed training in the immediate future but continuing to do slow runs to keep my mileage up.
I also got into the marathon with 9 + 1--I did this in 2012 and was in for 2013 but had to defer to this year due to injury.

For any first timers or anyone that just wants pointers, my old PT is holding a "Race IQ" session. I went to this for the NYC Tri and it provided me with so much good info, even down to where the secret portapotties are!

Lower level people the idea of getting peed on is a farce. I read from mny sites including one from a. An who runs every year. No worries!!
