Things not to say to your pregnant BFF

I get that at 6 months, I'm still about 15 pounds down from my prepregnancy weight. But I was very big to start with, and now my belly is huge. Please please please stop telling me I don't look pregnant!!!! It is NOT a complement!! In fact, it makes me feel really bad. And DO NOT tell me I'm getting in my head when I ask you to stop, let me explain why it's not a compliment.

Phew, I feel better.

People are just dumb! Ignore them! Everyone is telling me my belly is too big ad I still have sooo much time! Really? My doctor measures my belly and says it is right where it should be and I don't have sooo much time I have 1 1/2 months left!!! Ok sorry for ranting on your topic!

Things not to say to your pregnant BFF

Sorry :( I keep getting the opposite. People think I'm due next week and I have 3 months to go. I'm carrying so much bigger with this one than my first. One of DH's friends said, "how much bigger can you get?" at a party this weekend. I nearly punched him considering he looks 100 months pregnant... I totally feel for you though. I felt the same way with ds1. I didn't look very pregnant, but I was and it didn't help that one of my coworkers was also pregnant (and due a few weeks after me) and she looked very pregnant (her second). So many people at work would acknowledge her pregnancy and disregard mine. Once a guard asked me to switch places with her so the pregnant lady could be closer to the wall. I was like, "I'm pregnant too." It was annoying. You'll pop soon enough!!!

Jess, I was pg with twins and I didn't look like this, either., I was just overweight. I so feel you, and I'm so so sorry.
With this baby I look 11 months pregnant.
ANR, if one more person looks at me and says "oh, soon?" or "you're ready to pop, huh?" I'm gonna pop them myself! Chat Icon
