Need ideas
My almost 10 year old niece is coming to stay with us for a week. I need ideas that i can do with her. I have a 2 year old son so it also needs to be something he will enjoy as well. I plan on 1 day putting him in day care for the day so my niece and I can spend the day together possibly getting our nails done and a movie, but I need ideas for the other 4 days. I have a town pool we will go to a few days, but I would like some other special things to do with her. I live in Levittown but am willing to drive some places. Any ideas would be helpful.

the long island game farm in manorville i think it is. if she likes animals, she will love it.
adventureland. my 2 year old loves the rides and all 10 year olds love it (unless they hate rides of course) but they have a big arcade too.
the beach.
the riverhead aquarium.
shopping at the mall?!?

Day trip to fire island
Fishing on a charter boat?
There's a speed boat in the city called The Beast. I took my goddaughter on it and she LOVED it. It was a lot of fun. I think you can take your 2 year old on it but not 100% sure.

This is the long island game farm website. My favorite part is you can feed the giraffe. It was amazing. My 2 year old DD loved it (was a little scared but happy) and all of the adults were loving it too. You can also feed deer, donkeys, etc. There is a dog show. Lots of animals. A few rides (but they cost extra).
The cradle of aviation and the children's museum were good choices-- it reminds me Nunley's Carousel is right there in between them. That's fun if you are passing through the area.
Also, will it be summer time? There is splish splash.
Also the fish hatchery.
and local parks. I'm sure a nice park might be fun for an hour.
also eating out is fun for lots of kids.
