double stroller help
My DS will be 18 months when my LO arrives. I have a city mini double. I'm trying to figure out what to do before I can put the baby in the city mini double.
Should I get the infant carseat adaptor for the city mini or should I get a graco double (that I can put the infant seat in)? I'm asking because I have heard that the carseat adaptor for the city mini is a PITA to take on and off and doesn't seem that sturdy. I'm wondering how true that is. I'm trying to figure out if I'm better off just getting the graco that will fit the infant seat (We have a graco carseat).

double stroller help
I used the adapter for the City Mini. It wasn't the easiest to get on but, I didn't take it off until we were done with it. I never had any problems with it but, I did like the stroller a lot better once we didnt' have to use it anymore (it made it kind of bulky when folded).

I didn't use one but a friend did and exactly this. It also makes the stroller tippy when it's empty (car seat clicked in).
I bought an infant head support and used the citi mini almost right away with ds #2

I put my dd2 in the city mini double very shortly after birth too, maybe a few weeks. It reclines flat and as long as you snuggle the baby in there I think it will be fine.

It depends on your needs.
It is VERY difficult to go with 2 kids solo at those ages. (I have 17 months between mine).
Unless you are really going to be alone (my DH worked super full time, I just stayed home a lot... he did the food shopping & I started using diapers.com), I'd have 2 strollers (single snap n go for your car seat & single stroller for your 18 mo old).
At 3 months, DD was riding in a double stroller.
Even then, it really took til 4 months when I was comfortable going out with the two of them alone.

my LOs are going to be 15 months apart, and i just got the city mini double with car seat adapter. i put it together (havent used it yet) and it is a pain to get on/off, and it is somewhat large, but its easy to maneuver. I dont plan on leaving the infant carrier clicked into the adapter unless the kids are in the stroller bc im concerned about it tipping over. but taking the carrier in and out is easy

If your older kid gets out of the stroller - you can slide the infant seat to the middle so the stroller won't tip.

I am going to disagree with pp it is not that difficult to take 2 little ones out I think it depends on their personality and yours! 
For me the car seat adapter would only be necessary if you were doing a lot of in and out if the car type things.
If ds was sleeping when I got to a store I would put the car seat in the wagon and have a twin sit in the seat in the wago so he could stay asleep.

My dc were 18 months apart also. I bought the adaptor for the city mini but I found it very awkward. I don't know if it was installed incorrectly or what but the seat was set so upright that db's head kept falling forward. The store was nice enough to take it back and I just used the stroller fully reclined without the carseat. My db was big though-almost 9.5 lbs at birth. I just used a rolled up blanket next to his head. But i am in the city so i didnt need a carseat regularly. If you are looking for something that you can pop the infant seat into I think the graco would be a better option.

This was me. My DCs were 20mos apart, and youngest was born early winter. I wasn't successful folding the city mini with the adapter on it and found it was easier to get a gently used Graco Duoglider to transfer the infant seat onto easily, older one sat in the front part of the stroller and felt like he was "in charge". I could do my food shopping easily because whatever I needed fit in the bottom basket (not true for the city mini). I did storytime at the library, walks to the park, etc. I didn't stay inside at all =)
I ended up selling the adapter because even with kid #3, I wasn't comfortable with it - maybe I was installing it wrong?

We haven't looked at doubles yet, but will probably get the Britax double since we already have the Britax infant seat. The Britax seat clicks into their stroller without needing an adaptor. That's the main reason we went with Britax over Citi.. The single is very similar to the Citi and I think the double is too.
