because of the expected snow?
i'm working like a dog to get everything done asap so i can head out early... any excuse to leave the office early

Me! I am a teacher and my district is doing an early release (2 hours) to ensure that everyone gets home safe. They made the call yesterday around 8PM so parents could plan accordingly.

Yes. I'll be running (waddling) to the window every 30 mins or so to see how it is outside and once I determine it's getting bad, I will leave. I'll be bringing work home with me though.

Our agency hasn't sent any emails out yet letting us know about a early closing. But I'll probably leave at 2 (the latest) if they don't formally close.

Nope, and my doctor has been away and isn't expected in until 1pm this afternoon, so as of right now tomorrow morning is a go at 9am... we'll see if I'm actually able to make it to Smithtown from Massapequa at that hour.

I never went in.
DH was having a bad night and he asked me to stay home with him today. He's fine, just a little anxiety andI don't need to add to it.
I'll log into my laptop later to see if I can do anything from home.

Same here. None of my bosses are here either, so it's ridiculous if they expect us to stay.

Yup. I am leaving shortly. Almost wish I never made the trek in. I got off the train at penn...no snow. 10 mins later at my building lots of flurries.
My son is in daycare and it will take me 2 hrs to get there in good weather so I have to plan way ahead.

I was wondering about his. The new mayor did call a snow day for the last storm. Wonder how he will handle today.
Waiting to hear if I need to pick up the girl I babysit early.
