Because the roads are usually a nightmare.
And who loves to dig out their car, just to have the plow come down the street and bury you again. LOL
I would really love NY a whole lot more if we didn't have snow

I'm freaking out! I need to get from coram to st. Catherine's in Smithtown at 6 am Fri to have a baby!!! This was my biggest fear of having a winter baby and its coming true lol

I mean, of course I love the snow (NOT)
I'm not particularly fond of driving a considerable distance in deep snow, risking crashing in dh brand new car that sucks in just a lil snow, I can't imagine what it's gonna be like in a possible 8 or more inches. I don't care how much anyone loves the snow, you gotta be crazy to wanna go out driving in it. But I guess I'm one of the crazies cuz there's no way I'm postponing getting induced, I want this baby out! My mil already suggested canceling bc I know she dosnt want to have to bring dd to the hospital In the snow and I just about punched her in the face.

Because I need to drive to work in December and no matter how carefully i drive, it doesn't protect me from the ICE and asshats who think their 4 wheel drive makes them untouchable.

Because I freak out driving in snow and ice. Something about having no control of my vehicle that just freaks me out. But I am nutty like that.
I don't care if its January in Antarctica...I will freak out.

ITA as always. If I could stay home, or have someone else drive for me, I'd have no problem. Being out in rush hour with people who can't be bothered to brush off the snow from their cars, or people who drive SUV's and then think they're invincible from sliding on ice or in the slush - then I have a major problem.
ETA: And being just about 7 months pregnant right now, the last thing I want to worry about is getting into a car accident or slipping on the snow.

I don't care if it is Decemeber in NYC . I will complain every single year. I hate the cold and I hate the snow. The cold is bad enough, but things are even worse when you throw snow into the mix. I hate cleaning off my car, cleaning my walkway and driving in it. If it weren't for Dh's job I'd be living in California or Florida.

I hate this time of year because of work- with 17 technicians working on the road, anytime my guys hear it's going to snow, everyone suddenly becomes "sick", so I have to cancel multiple routes and reschedule customers. Snow makes my workload triple
eta: otherwise, I love the snow- from my window... in my recliner... curled up with a blanket and a good book

I spent 5 years in Syracuse where 10 inches was a daily occurrence so a small once a season storm doesn't phase me.
I love a good storm…..and here we only get one maybe 2 a year so I see no need to freak about it.

Agreed! This Thursday and Friday are the hardest days to take off at my job all year long. People who requested those days off months ago were denied. So I am required to show up and I commute to Queens. I will welcome snow if it means my job tells me to stay home. Otherwise, no thanks.

A PROLONGED PERIOD OF SNOW IS EXPECTED LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO
FRIDAY MORNING. AT LEAST 6 INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE...WITH
BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW DUE TO STRONG WINDS.

Yes and then there is the joy of shoveling out a spot by my school, which will be open and has no parking, and the five hour commute home :( please p,ease don't snow.
