My thoughts pretty much in this order were
1. DD would have been way to distracted to nurse through all that
2. Jealous, I haven't had my hair or nails done in months
3. Love the way he's reaching up to play with her necklace. I hope with the curling iron she can still actually look down at him.

I have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, nursing has always been such an intimate thing for me between me and my babies. That's not to say I haven't nursed anywhere and everywhere. But I don't care for the way she is paying absolutely no attention to her baby here. It's like she's just getting him fed so he's not hungry. On the other hand, she is nursing him and incorporating that into her working life, which can be very tough. So I don't know, I'm undecided.

She looks completely blissed out! And given her career, using her work time to bond with her baby is awesome.

Honest to God truth- my first thought, the first thing I noticed was her HAIR. I was looking at how gorgeous her hair looked.
But I have hair envy issues so that is the first thing I look at on ALL women.
And I do love the fact that she is working and being a mom all at once.
I think it's a great thing to teach your children- that a woman can have it all!

I'm all for a constructive, adult conversation. But this topic hardly ever warrants a mature dialogue. It routinely ends in bickering and snark. I'd love for this thread to prove me wrong.
I'm a FF mom and think this pic is awesome nothing more, nothing less, no reading between the lines or insinuations. She looks like a happy, content mother bonding with her baby amid her hectic work life.

As some others have said, I'm not typically a fan, but I love this picture. She's working and with her baby and finding a way to make it all work and I appreciate and respect that.

I don't see how anyone can have anything negative to say about this picture. Feelings about Giselle aside, this picture depicts a mother doing her best at everything on her plate, from being a woman with a high profile career to being a mom and caring for her son in the best way she knows how. I say bravo to her!! And I love that, given her celebrity status, she is willing to share a moment like this with the world to show that as difficult as things may seem, it is possible to make it all work and have that balance.

I'm shocked, and I of course mean that sarcastically, that you of all people would take it there.
If you haven't seen gma, the today show,etc etc this pic is everywhere. It has nothing to do with me posting it about nursing vs not. But thanks as always for stirring the pot.

Honestly, my first thought was, "what is the context of this picture? Is this a regular occurrence, or a staged picture taken for publicity?" I can't form my opinion without that knowledge.
ETA: Actually, my first thought was, "I love her hair." I noticed the baby second.

I agree. I think it's awesome!! And also fitting in BF while working! It's hard to do. I did it for a year and still don't know how.
