If you have boys... Shopping question
The Gap post got me thinking. I feel like there are stores that have adorable girl clothes. Lots of styles, etc. The boys style stinks and there's no choices. I am actually finding Target has better boy clothes then most places. I never find anything at Denny's for my 2 and 4 yr old. Gap is hit or miss, but I always love the girls stuff. Sometimes I like Children's Place, but they have too much print stuff that I don't love. Janie and Jack is cute, but I usually go there for holidays or something. Not everyday stuff. I like jeans, the plaid shorts with a solid top, the "Charlie Harper" shirts , sweat outfits from Adidas or other brands like that. Once in a while Old Navy I will find something, but they seem to run small and grow out of it fast. Kohls is also hit or miss.

Re: If you have boys... Shopping question
GAP and Carters are my staples for jeans, wind pants, PJs I get their shorts from the Children's place ever year b/c the fit/length has been better for my boys .
Carters is great for polos - normal solid colors and stripes that wash REALLY well Old Navy's polos are also great.
The GAP & Carters again for sweatshirts Sweaters are difficult - the GAP are just too heavy, so I usually stumble around until I find something from Polo in Marshalls or on sale @ Macys
TShirts I usually do from Old Navy, GAP, Target - the boys like the superhero stuff, and I like the vintage T look w/o spending $40 on a Tshirt - so we compromise.
I also ALWAYS forget about Century 21 - ADORABLE, and different stuff. For dressing up or a special occasion
their every day, daycare, run around lkie boys clothes GAP and Carters and my staple places
I am not a fan of babyish clothing, crazy colors and prints - I dress them like little men. And I'm pretty conservative

Re: If you have boys... Shopping question
Thanks all! There's no Century 21 by me in NJ. My boys are dressed like little men too. Although they like the superhero characters, which I also get at Target. I also got some cute ones at Gap on sale and funny thing is they didn't wear well from Gap. I do department stores too like Nordstroms. Was able to take advantage of their sale for Fall stuff so happy about that. My 2 yr old is set since his older brother keeps his stuff in perfect condition. Not so much from my 2 yr old.

Re: If you have boys... Shopping question
I don't like shopping, especially at multiple stores, so I stick mostly to Carters and Osh Kosh for my son. He only wants to wear "comfy clothes", which means sweat pants and soft t-shirts. It's hard to get him to wear a polo or even cargo pants. Forget about jeans. That would involve major bribery!
I hate when clothes look faded, wrinkled, and too small, so I buy a lot from these stores and mix and match a lot. I also like to stick to the same brands/stores, because then I will know his size and not have to guess when I'm shopping.

Same with my guy. And the shirt must be blue or have a character.
I usually do Kohls, Carters, Osh Kosh (more now than Carters as he's getting older), Gap and Old Navy for him. And Century 21 -they have great deals on Under Armour.
My little guy has a large selection of barely worn hand me downs in any color except for blue

I like Naartjie Kids, Nordstrom Rack and OshKosh. I went to a Hartstrings outlet recently and got some cute boys clothes under their Kitestrings line. Kohls and Children's Place are my other go to's...but it's hit or miss for me.

Re: If you have boys... Shopping question
My go to store was 77Kids by American Eagle. Now that that's gone, I'm at a loss! I hate everything!! I'm back to Gap, but it's not the style I love for my son!
And there's not a Century 21 or H&M here, which sucks!

Gap Old Navy Target TjMaxx Land's End (my favorite BEST quality)
Stopped buying so much from Children's Place - clothes are not lasting as long. The jeans suck.

Re: If you have boys... Shopping question
I have a 4.5 year old and a 16mos year old. YES I feel a LOT of stores lack cute boys clothes.
For my 4.5 year old I go to Kohls, JCPennys & Old Navy
For my little guy, I'm still a die hard Carters fan.
I'll be said when my little guy outgrows Carters.
I also do really well at Costco on Carters too.

Re: If you have boys... Shopping question
Oh please. This is the bane of my existence.
My go to is Gap (I used to love 77kids too) but honestly, I think the quality stinks. I buy a lot of Ralph Lauren and feel the same about that too. I feel like the clothes fade and do not wash well (particularly the Gap PJs). I wash all of his clothes on gentle cycle and still use Dreft so I know it's not that.
I don't like the style at Carter's but I like their PJs. I find some cute things at Children's Place.
I find H&M clothes fit weird. Naajarte and Gymboree are not my style.
I like Nautica and Kenneth Cole. They wear and wash well. I also like some of the brands at BRU. I go to Janie & Jack for dress outfits. I have not tried Century 21 so I will have to go check that out.

Re: If you have boys... Shopping question
We go to h&m, j crew cuts, century 21, crazy 8, Gymboree, and Carter's. the kids wear jeans, colored slacks, and plaid shorts for the most part, never sweat pants. I really don't find much in gap or children's place. We have a lot of nautica and Tommy Hilfiger from C 21, it holds up well.

Re: If you have boys... Shopping question
My parents are in Delaware in the summers, so I do a big outlet trip there, no tax!!! I like Hartstrings, Janie and Jack, Gap, Oshkosh, and Gymboree usually. Lately he's wanting a lot of character shirts, ugh, so I've been getting those at Target or used.

Re: If you have boys... Shopping question
I have a 2 year old. I also used to get so annoyed when I was shopping for him when he was a baby. The girl's sections are amazing and the boys are just meh! Well, now that I have a very active and messy toddler....I honestly don't care as much. Right now for the summer he practically lives in either mesh, cotton or some sort of printed short with a t-shirt. I have a bunch of those Nike and Adidas matching sets. He always looks well put together, but he is not wearing any of those cute outfits I used to dress him in all the time as a baby. Now it's all about being practical and what will wash easiest and not require ironing! LOL
