Does your LO ever have a valid reason...
to whine?! Seriously I have no clue why my 4 yr old just finds a time out of the blue when everything is fine and we are going about our normal day a whine will come out. Nothing strange happened, no one got hurt, but just felt the need to whine.
I will ask what's wrong? Any booboo? Did the wind blow the wrong way? Did you feel the need to sneeze? Was your food too hot? cold? not thick enough? too thick?
Never know. WHen does the whining stop?!
I thought it was getting better after the 3's phase. It was and now it seems worse. 
Also, why are they playing perfectly fine for a while then suddenly the phone rings and the whining starts.

I have no idea! My son whines for everything! It's incredibly tiring & makes me want to snap some days. I tell him if he is whining, he must be tired & to go take a nap. I go as far as taking him into his room & then he says he will be a good boy because he doesn't want to nap. I can pull this off about twice a day.

No. She never has a valid reason. Doesn't stop her from whining tho! LOL
She's not a whiner tho in general. I found she started whining a lot during the beginning of school terms (after breaks etc) so I'd put up with it once or twice then say "HEY! who does that at school? Who WHINES like that?" She'd stop to think about a whiner at school and give me a name. I'd ask why he/she whined and she'd say he/she wasn't listening to teacher, teacher didn't listen to him/her. Either way, NONE of it was happening with her so I'd say YOURE not bad, YOU are being listened to, so don't whine. Its not nice. It usually works. lol Or I send her to her room until she feels better.

mine are only 2.5 but this exactly mostly with dd. I wanted to run away today! I literally ran out the door for a pedicure when they went to bed and will drink lots of wine tonight!!!!

This is exactly DD1!!!
She will be whining about something/anything and then in the same breath start laughing at something her sister did or something that happened with the dog etc...
I t is beyond annoying and frustrating at times.
It was definitely not a good day today
