Sandals St Lucia vs either Excellence or Couples
We went to Sandals Granda for our honeymoon and it was beyond amazing. Want to go back, but was thinking of trying something else. How do the Exellence and Couples compare, especially in terms of food?

I've never been to Sandals, so I can't speak as a comparison, but Excellence and Couples had AMAZING food. We were at Couples for DH's 30th birthday and we had dinner on his actual birthday at the Thai place and it was some of the best Thai food we've ever had. DH still talks about that meal almost 2 years later! lol! The food at Excellence was really fantastic, too, but we were wowed by Couples.

Sandals St Lucia vs either Excellence or Couples
We are going to Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica this Jan. We did the Grande in St. Lucia for our honeymoon and another trip and then the White house and I like the Whitehouse just as much as St. Lucia.

I hated Sandals (Antigua for my HM) but loved Secrets-Excellence Punta Cana when DH and I were there in 2004. Food, people, resort were awesome.

I've been to Excellence in Playa Mujeres, Mexico. We loved it so much that we went back TWICE. I have never done that with any other place. If it wasn't for the posters here recommending it, I would have never even went there because I had never heard of it before. It was amazing.
I hear that they have a property in Dominican Republic and supposedly a new one coming to Jamaica - I would love to go to these. But the one in Mexico is just AMAZING - hands down, best place I have ever been to.

We also went to sandals Antigua for part of our honeymoon, and hated it as well  St Lucia outshines it a million times over!

I've never done a Sandals resort, but I was told there are a lot of areas in Jamaica where the locals are beggings/selling you things. Thats the one thing we hated about our honeymoon in Mexico so we're weary of Jamaica. I'm sure its fine on the resort but did you stay on the resort the whole time?
