groin pain

I'm 30wk3d and since last week have had awful groin and 'down there' pain. My doctors say it's normal and as my ob says, "the honeymoon is over", so just basically wondering if anyone else can commiserate and if I can expect this to last the rest of my pregnancy.

It's so hard to walk Chat Icon Chat Icon and been nonstop for a week now.. thankfully when I lay down though, I feel fine. The catch to being taken off bed rest is I can't walk anywhere anyway Chat Icon Chat Icon

groin pain

I had this BAD! Between weeks 34-37 I had an ice pack between my legs every night to relieve pain. The area between my inner thigh & lady part was the worst .felt like I was horse back riding cross counrty. Funny @ 39+ weeks I dont have those pains anymore...hope u feel better soon.

Re: groin pain

I was walking my daughter to school with my neighbor up until last week (37 weeks). At around 34-35 weeks when I walked a lot I would end up having that pain so bad its just not worth it. Still when I am up and around too much it happens but not as bad as when I walk too much.

Re: groin pain

At 36 weeks i was finding it very difficult to walk around - I had the worst pain. Even though it was hard to walk, it did help to move around a little. When i was sitting for a long time it was much worse.

Re: groin pain

I had it bad with my last pregnancy it was worse when sat around awhile. I would walk around frequently and for short periods of time to keep everything loose.

One of the many joys of pregnancy :)

In right there with ya! Unfortunately, it will only get worse as the baby descends. Whenever I get up from a sitting position, I need to stand there for a minute to regroup before I take that first step. Like others have said, it's worse in the middle of the night! Oh the joys.... lol

Re: groin pain

I had this throughout the whole second half of my pregnancy. Some days were much worse than others. It was really awful - especially trying to turn over in bed ugh! I delivered dd a week ago and now the pain is pretty much gone so I expect to not have it at all in a few days.

Re: groin pain

Yes! I didn't have this issue at all with pregnancy #1, and with this pregnancy, I have had horrible 'down there' Chat Icon pain since like 28w. Some days I feel fine, others it just feels like super pressure and others it is so painful that I have to lean on somthing or sit down (which is just ideal when one has a 22mo to take care of!)

Also, I have been having hip pain for the last few days, like they are popping outward.

If this baby comes out at like 6lbs, I am just going to be like W-T-F, cause he feels like a beast in there Chat Icon

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Oh tell me about it, because my baby is just about 3 1/2lbs now and I'm just trying to imagine how I'll deal when he weighs double!! I keep saying he must have gone through some crazy growth spurt this week and is already full term! Chat Icon

Thanks ladies, glad to see I'm at least not alone here.

Re: groin pain

This just started for me about two weeks ago. Like others have said, getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom takes quite a bit (which I don't always have). I also feel the popping when I flip over. Sitting on the floor playing with DS is near impossible. Between this, the swollen feet and heartburn I am ready for these boys to come out.

I had it too. Still have it on and off too sorry to say.

I asked our doctor if there was anything I could do to make it better..His response was.."You are 30 weeks pregnant, have 2 year old twins and you are working...it is not getting better anytime soon"

It came and went though...hope you feel betterChat Icon

the more I walked the better I felt. Sitting was the worst. Some days I could barely walk after lunch!
Hang in there you are in the homestretch!
