Teething question

I'm sure it will vary but I'm just curious how long the worst of it will last. both 8 month old twins have two bottom teeth-I never even knew it until I saw them! But now one of the girls is having a really hard time.. she's just whiny and fussy all day..crying while she bites on everything.. Im sure it's teething but no inflamed gums and no new teeth.

Just curious, is this going to last until all of her teeth come in? Please tell me no!!

sorry to tell you, we had hell from 3m to 1y when he got his first set of molars. we where bracing ourselves for second set of molars, and those we didnt even notice.

i think its like that for the first few.. my DS was good w his teething and getting teeth. we didnt notice much, other than the cranky days, drooling and chomping on everything.

my twin girls are just constantly biting on things - i give them whatever makes them happy. I give advil at night if i feel they are having a tough day. they (and I) need sleep.

Teething question

My son is the same thing, cept his gums are swollen but no teeth yet. He hasn't slept in about a week and is fussy/complainy most of the day. I'm going slightly insane from the sleep deprivation (not that he was sleeping before this, but now it's even less).

My ped said this could go on for a while, which was about the last thing I wanted to hear even though I knew it deep down. I've been trying everything to ease his pain but nothing I do seems to work. So I feel you.

Teething question

I definitely think it varies for each LO. DD had a rough few days with her first two teeth. Then we had a few months of nothing and then she got 5 more in a month and it really wasn't terrible. Not a breeze, but not awful either. Then next tooth popped through before I even knew it was coming. We're now waiting on molars. The ped noticed they were swollen and she's occasionally extra chompy or drooly but nothing bad.

It does vary. I had no idea with the first set for either of my twins. Actually in heinz sight, the first 8 were easy for both of them. I thought it was bad at the time.... For us the eye teeth and molars have been the worst. Our house is always stocked with motrin, frozen wash cloths, and they always have their amber necklaces on.
