City mini double - newborn help
I'm going to Disney with our 2 year old and 2 month old in May, but we're not sure what to do with the stroller situation. We currently have a snap n go, single city mini and an umbrella stroller. We were going to buy the city mini double, but the car seat adapter reviews are really bad. Any suggestions? Has anyone put their newborn in the stroller without the car seat? Maybe we should take two strollers instead? TIA!!

Unfortunately, I don't think the city mini is very good for a little infant. Not much support at all. Can you rent a double at the park?

I put my 3 month old premie twins in my citi mini without the carseat. I bought a head support pillow from target. I can't comment on the adapter though.

We thought about renting, but they provide the city mini double, so I'm back at the same place....

I have been using the city mini double since my LO has been 2 months. I just reclined him a bit and put the straps tight. He was fine. He's 4 months now, sits upright and loves it.

We used the adaptor until DS was 6 months. I didn't love it but, DS wasn't comfortable in the stroller itself.
I think they have made some changes to the adaptor though and it works better now than it did previously.

We almost bought the adaptor until we discovered it was about $100. For a few months of use we couldn't justify it, although you might feel differently and we also didn't have any big trips planned. DS is 3 mo and I'm thinking about getting an infant insert like a pp mentioned above. We also have an infant carrier that I use but I'm thinking that might be a bit hot in Disney.

I put my 2 month old in the citi mini without a car seat or anything- just straight it. HE was born last may and it was way to hot last summer to have him in the car seat, he sweated so much in it even in the air conditioned car.
He was very comfortable in the citi mine alone- it reclines to near flat. Also, the back flap could open so he could get a breeze and I loved that the canopy kept him totally out of the sun.
Just rent a double citi mini and put the baby in it alone. They'll be fine!

Yes! I saw it was $100  That's just crazy for 4 months usage!!!! We were going to put him in the baby bjorn but I don't think he's supposed to be in there for that long.

You're the second person that said they put their DC in without a car seat or anything. I'm so incredibly tempted to do that. I'm going to see how he handles our single city mini.

My newborn went right in the city mini without the car seat. He was completely fine! So glad I didn't waste $100 on the adaptor!

I would get the noggin nest type thing and just put the baby in the city mini. I wouldn't do the infant seat, it will be WAY too hot!

Purchased the city mini double and put DS in, he didn't seem to mind at all, so it looks like that's the route we're going. Thanks everyone!! One less thing to worry about
