Work

I hate my job but it is so flexible, it is the only reason I am still here. I was looking to leave but figured I would put it on hold for a while. As much as I would love to leave now I just don't know if I would get that lucky again.

Re: Work

There is not really such a thing as down time at my job. I work at a school and I wear many different hats here but I have a great principal and I know they (myself included) will not give me any tasks that will overexert me.

Work

My actual work load only takes me about 3 hours to complete- the remainder of my day is spent monitoring our technicians via GPS. It's a pretty easy job, but the hours are tough. That's the only thing I could see being an issue once I become pg. other than that, it's a great job and I love working there

Re: Work

Will definitely be a challenge especially towards the end but there's not much I can do about that because it's the profession that I chose. I'm a nurse and work 12 hour shifts overnight, constantly on my feet plus I work on oncology unit so I have the extra worry of coming into contact with hazardous drugs, definitely have to be extra cautious. It'll be stressful but I'm not the first one to be pregnant working there so I'll get through it just like all the others.

Work

I'm also a nurse, I work 12 hour shifts 3x/week. I have a rotating schedule, so I work both day shifts and night shifts. I think it'll be hard(er) on my body to deal with the rotating when pregnant, but like Ready2BeAMommy said, I'm not the first one to be pregnant working there. Once I have a baby, it'll be nice that I only work 3 days a week, and my husband has a fairly flexible schedule as far as working from home and his hours. My parents live only about 2 miles from us, so they will help us with childcare. We're lucky.

The only reason I am still at my job is bc I am pregnant. Once this baby comes I never plan to step foot back in that place again.

Re: Work

I work for a private company (for now) but my hours are standard 830-430. My issue is my commute and day care. As it is I leave over an hour early to get there. I will have to drop DC off by 7 am and pick up around 6 depending on the center we choose. Long day! Hoping I can finagle a work from home day to help out. Not sure it will happen though. I might have to look closer to home after I give birth. It's weird to think since I have been there over 13 yrs

Re: Work

I'm hoping to be able to work from home a couple of days per week after I have the baby. We'll see how that pans out.

I am very lucky at my current job. My hours are flexible and I have a great manager so I don't see foresee any issues. My last job was a nightmare so I am very thankful!
