Stomach virus-how long is lasting?
Ds threw up the whole car ride home from Vermont on Monday and has had diarrhea since. Dh got it yesterday.
If you have had the stomach virus recently how long did it last? And how long did you stay away from other people.
My sister, bil and nephew are up from Florida this week for xmass and I'm so sad we can't hang out!
Eta: well forget I asked I'm throwing up now! Second time I got the stomach virus this pregnancy uhhhhh. At this rate hopefully I will be able to see my family on Christmas Day.
Although things could be much worse and I am grateful they are not...this stinks!!!!!!

Stomach virus-how long is lasting?
Our friends kids had it right after Thanksgiving. It took 3-4 days for them to feel better.
Also, my Ped said they could be contagious up to 5 days after (maybe more), so we stayed away.

my son had a 24 hour version about 2 months ago but this one is probably different.
he threw up twice at about 10pm and 1130pm and then besides feeling cruddy, he was fine. never a fever. took a good 24 hours before he began wanting to eat/drink.

we just finished this yesterday.
Baby A 13 months, started vomiting mon morning and stopped 12 hours later. Had diarrhea till thursday.
Adult 1, started at 5 pm tuesday and stopped vomiting 12 hours later. (not 100% till thurs night)
Adult 2, started at 6 pm tuesday and stopped 12 hours later. (not 100% till mid day thurs)
Baby B 13 months- woke up covered in vomit on Wednesday, only threw up 1 more time. was eating normally thursday morning. Waiting for a solid stool.
My mom came from albany to help us. wed morning. it started thursday night for her and was able to drive home friday morning.

dh had it wednsday adn was vomiting for a good 12 hours.
i had it thursday night. vomited 3 times- and had diarrhea. all had stopped by friday morning, but i was dehydrated adn felt like crap. Started feeling better by sunday/monday. Praying i dont get it again.

DD had vomiting for 4 straight hours on Tuesday night, Wednesday was diarrhea, Thursday she was cranky, tired, and "off" and still not eating, and by Friday she was herself again.
So... I want to say a day and a half of being really sick, and another day after that before she was herself again.

Ok so neither baby has solid poop yet. We are still all liquid. Oh so much laundry!!
