Yea you are right! Honestly, I hope all of this devastation is not in vain. Lets hope everyone prepares in the future, adheres to warnings, and does everything they can to keep safe and minimize damage  we are very blessed to have this lesson because this storm could have been a lot worse

I can't even deal with this story. This is beyond heartbreaking and I can't imagine what this poor woman is going through right now. How do you go on???

Missing boys on Staten Island
Ugh.. this happens in San Antonio during floods. We had a huge flood in 99 and tourist traveling thru got washed away. Took months before we could identify them. The whole town felt bad since we were all buttoned down. We have a LOOOOT of low water crossings and areas that just flood so easily.
Stories of parents making choices "who to go back for" ugh.. heart breaking!
But I have to say LOOT my home, burn it down. I don't care. As long as I have AJ safe and sound everything else is NOTHING to me.
If I were in an evac area my butt would have been GONE before that storm hit. My child's saftey trumps all else.
