How often do you see your Dr for wellness exams?

If youre not sick how often do you see your Dr for check ups? Just wondering because i only see my Dr if im sick which is not often. wondering if exams should be done yearly even if im feeling fine.

Once a year.

I have to.

We are on a 'wellness' plan. If we go we get credit for it then we do other stuff, talk to a coach and get our blood drawn for screening. Based on all that data we are given a score. Higher the score better the % credit to our insurance rates. Hubby goes next week because the % credit is a combination of my score AND my husband since he's insured with me. Next year it seems they are dragging my daughter into the calculation too.

Usually 1x per year for a regular checkup and blood workup.

Once a year for my general physician & dermatologist. I generally go to my gyn once a year too but skipped a year.

1-2x/per year for dentist.

Once a year. It is so important. I never would have known that I have high blood pressure if I didn't go or an enlarged thyroid. If your insurance covers, please get a check up!

I have a chronic condition and see him every 6 weeks or so. Keeps me from ignoring it.

My regular internist, 1x a year for well visit.

My OB, 1x a year.

My cardiologist, every 3 months.

My dermatologist, 1x a year, sometimes more because I have horrible excema.

Dentist, 2x a year for cleanings/follow-ups.

I generally just go to the dentist twice a year for a check up and then to my OB/GYN for an annual.

You MUST go for a check up once a year.

They check your hormone levels, and other things (liver function, sugar, cholesterol).

Most women need to take vitamin D, by the way.

I go every year to make sure everything is normal. By ignoring something (or it not being addressed) you could go for years and have a problem.

Get a physical once a year.

Can't remember the last time I went for a regular physical. I rarely get sick, even rarer that I have to go to the doctor for it.

GYN : every 6 months
dentist : every six months
Orthopedist : every 3 months

I'm way overdue for the cardiologist.
Have never been to a dermatologist.
Way overdue for the opthamologist.

Annually, to my gyn and regular doctor, for checkups, then when I'm sick.

You should really go once a year... That said, I don't remember the last time I've seen my pcp... HA... But I'm making it a point to start going... Since having my dd, my outlook on healthcare has changed for the better

Dentist 2x per year
OBGYN 1x per yr (although after having a baby this yr, I felt like I should have moved in there LOL)
Eyes... Haven't been since 09 when I had my LASIK done

I haven't had to see any other docs

I aim for once yearly, but sometimes it ends up being a little longer between appointments.

Ob- gyn once per year, Internist once per year ( although I am quite overdo here) eye doctor once per year

Yearly and I force Dh to go too. Both my parents died before 55 one from cancer the other from a heart attack so I'm very diligent about my health.

My primary, once a year for well visit.

The OB, twice a year (more now because I'm pregnant)

Dentist, twice a year for cleanings.

Hematologist every other week because of my anemia.


I think it's really important to make sure you're going for an annual physical.

I see my PCP once a year. I schedule the appointment around my birthday so I always remember - hey you need to schedule an appointment. I see the dentist 2x per year and my OBGyn 1X a year.
