DS is alms 18 months. I close my bedroom door and put on a video while I put on light makeup and a casual outfit. I get ready for nothing else who he is napping nd shower at night.

I do a few things: -either get up and shower when they are sleeping (this rarely happens) -Take a shower with them in the bathroom with me and give them "special" bathroom toys that entertain them well. -To get ready I bring them into my room and I blow dry my hair and put make up on. They usually will watch tv or "fold" my laundry!

Put her in her crib with a bunch of toys. My DS would play but would cry bat times, but I deserved a shower, even if its only a 5 minute shower. Now I put him in the bathroom with me and he plays with cups and water in the sink or reads books.

Re: Toddler Moms, how do you 'get ready' to go out?
I have my bag packed all of the time. I always had the following in my bag: diapers wipes changing mat snacks
In the car I keep: change of clothing extra coat/blanket diapers wipes paper towels emergency/first aid kit juice boxes
I shower at night. In the morning when my kids woke up I would give them breakfast, then go back upstairs and change them/brush teeth. That way we are ready to go first thing in the morning and if breakfast was messy they did not ruin their clothing for the day. HTH
