kitchen appliances- please help me decide
ok, my in laws told me that they now swear by LG appliances- but im reading all sorts of negative things about LG appliances, and thats what i was leaning towards
we need everything- french door fridge, gas oven and dishwasher- id prefer if at least the oven and fridge were the same brand.
can you please recommend your kitchen appliances- or if you dont like your appliances please tell me why (it doesnt make ice fast enough or the thing caught on fire)
thanks so much

We have an LG fridge and dishwasher, both about a year and a half old now. We love both the look and function of them.

DH and I moved into our new house in May. We bought a new stove, dishwasher and refrigerator as a package. We got fridgedaire. We love them all! They are wonderful. The ice maker is great! I never had one before and have no idea how I lived without one all these years!

we have all GE Profile (frech door fridge) and LOVE them all with the exception of the dishwasher. It is OK. DH calls it "the water spinner" as it isnt awesome at really getting things clean.

I'd like to know too because I love the LG appliances. I was told they work well but if a part breaks they are very hard to replace/expensive.

kitchen appliances- please help me decide
We bought LG appliances, and they work fine but I don't think I would go with this brand again. The microwave is peeling, and the fridge doesn't have much room. My stove has a huge dent on the top because I dropped a spoon on it. For the money we spent I would have expected more.

We have all LG appliances. I love all of them but the dishwasher is a bit of a pain. It runs for two hours even on a light cycle. I also have to use jet dry to get everything really clean. The fridge and stove are great!

Re: kitchen appliances- please help me decide
we bought a house with all LG appliances, approx 3 years old. the dishwasher is ok, i feel like it smells often so i clean it once a week with an empty load of just vinegar. microwave is fine my stove is so so, if i put 2 equal size pots of water on 2 different burners, one will boil MUCH faster than the other. i HATE the stove. cooks completely unevenly. frige is good, lots of space, same with the freeze. the ice machine however is crap.
all in all, i would NOT get LG again.

Re: kitchen appliances- please help me decide
thanks everyone-i really appreciate all the input! from what im seeing and reading, i think im leaning towards the lg fridge and oven... (im not getting a microwave, so i dont have to think about that)
their dishwashers, though, do they only come with the basket for utensils Inside, or can you get an LG dishwasher with the utensil basket in the door
and i think All dishwashers (and washing machines) are super slow- something about being energy efficient, so i cant do much about the slowness but that basket in-door thing i really want... so i might have to get a different brand dishwasher... any recommendations? lol

hey lola- thanks for the honest input! can i ask you a question- when you say the stove cooks unevenly- you mean the oven part or the burners on top? and, do you have gas or electric?
ive read the ice maker can be tempermental... which model fridge do you have? is it a french door one? there were three that i was looking at- just wondering if yours is one of them

Re: kitchen appliances- please help me decide
We bought all stainless Kitchen Aid and were quite unhappy with them, especially the dishwasher. We replaced that with a Bosch and so far so good.
Our 1st house we bought all GE Profile and loved them!

My mom has an LG fridge and has had a lot of problems with it. She also has an LG stove and is happy with it (she doesn't cook too much though).
I have a Samsung fridge and have been very happy with it. Our stove is a gas GE Cafe and I don't really like it.

Yes, but they also don't want to give you prices at the time you are shopping. They want all your info so they can e-mail you later. For spending that kind of $$, I kinda want to know what I'm spending on the spot. Don't wanna fall in love with something only to find out its not in my budget. Go to Gringer in Commack on Jericho Tpke & ask for Mindy, she's great!

We just bought a dishwasher, fridge & microwave to match our fridgidaire gallery stove. So far I love it all, the dishwasher is the best I've ever had.
