So which one do you like for this window? Relaxed or Straight and which color? Sorry too much for a Poll. Chat Icon

Straight Roman Shade

I will get a valance on the shade and it will be the Box Pleated one.

This is the kitchen window I am buying a roman shade for. There are slate blue accents in the kitchen, so I could go with either of the blue ones of any of the beige ones because of the wall color and the sliding glass door shade.

Re: Help Me Decide on a Roman Shade for the Kitchen Please (pics)

they all come in the relaxed or straight. I'm leaning towards the relaxed ones anyway.

Anyone want to do some Photoshopping for me with the relaxed shades? Chat Icon Chat Icon Purity please. I would most appreciate it.Chat Icon Of course I have to wait for all sample fabric to come in before I decide. Some colors might be more of a seafoam and not slate blue. Chat Icon

oh thank you! Chat Icon

The relaxed: Windblown Ice Blue, Diamonds Nutmeg, Fantasy Spa.

Thank you! Chat Icon

ETA: and you can hang it high and wide because I will be getting outside mount, so it will go over the molding and up almost to the crown molding on the cabinets.

Okay here is they are...sorry that they are a little squished and as for the Windblown Ice blue...it doesnt really look like much of a blue in the pic you pasted so it doesn't look much like blue in the mock up

Thank you so much. The windblown ice blue has a light slate blue & beige in it. It's gorgeous in person. I have a sample square at home. Thank you, this really helps to see how things might look. I wish I had Photoshop. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Sstraight windblown alablaster. The only reason i say straight is because I had the relaxed and returned it b/c if you are going to be pulling it up and down alot it's so annoying to make perfect pleats at the bottom, so I switched to the straight.

Not a problem at all..actually at work I use Photoshop and I had Photoshop at home until I got my new laptop and lost the licesnsing...i found a free program called Gimp (I believe you can download at gimp.com) and it does all the cool fancy stuff that photoshop does. You should look into it.

I would do the straight in nutmeg. For two reasons....one if you are doing clean valance, this will keep the lines. As for the nutmeg....I dont think any of the blues are quite slate and I think it would be off....could be my monitor though.

I like the nutmeg bc it ties the door treatment in and I like that the diamond pattern repeats the pattern on the backsplash.

dang, I didn't think of the relaxed with the the straight box pleat valance. Good catach Mel! Thanks. Chat Icon

And I wasn't thinking about the diamond pattern repeats. Another good catch. This is why I always ask first because when you try to decorate your own house, there are just things you don't see all the time anymore. Chat Icon Other people's houses are easier! Chat Icon
