Why does DD"s sippy cup leak milk, but not water?
We have used the Playtex lil' grippers first training straw cup for months now. With water, it is great, but when I put milk inside it CONSTANTLY leaking. Milk travels UP the straw when DD is NOT drinking from it, what's the deal?
Are there any straw cups that don't do this?

Why does DD
Again glad to know I'm not alone....It's SOO annoying!! I've bought about 10 different types of sippy cups and they all do the same thing.

Why does DD
My dad explained why to me....
I typically use room temperature or not super cold water but milk is obviously cold. When the milk is sitting out for a little bit it starts to warm up. Because the cups are "spill proof" they have not vent system. The pressure from the warmer milk expands and has no where to go but up the straw. If you loosen the top when you notice the milk rising it will let air in, also if you take a little SIP of milk it will relieve the pressure as well. Not that the summer is here and I have been putting a ice cube in ds's water it happens with that to if sitting too long.
Make sense??

Interesting! I have noticed it with water because I've been using cold water when we take it to the beach, or if I get water from a restaurant.
