I didn't use a bassinet (actually lying...I had one in my living room) but at night I had them sleep together in the top part of the pack n play. But if you wanted to do a bassinet I would for sure say 2...they are pretty small

Re: Spinoff: 1 bassinet or 2?

My SIL gave me her bassinet, and we used it in the beginning for both my Chat Icon Chat Icon together. They came home at just over 4 lbs each and fit fine. They slept in it the "wrong" way tho, so they were rocked head-to-toe instead of side-to-side.
I think we switched them to the pack & play and crib at around 2 months.

I naively had a cradle all set up in our room for when they came home from the NICU. They were still soooo tiny. Baby a was 4lb 9 oz lbs and baby B was 3lb 14 oz and they were not going to make it very long in the cradle So we also put them in the top part of a pack and play together.

We will probably have a pack n play on a different level of the house so I'd probably need something for our bedroom. We don't plan to keep them in the basinet long. I guess we can always buy a second one if we need it. ?

i was just going to say buy 2 pack n plays - you will def need those in the future, as the 2 babies will need their own place to sleep when you go away or something like that.

i was planning on using a pack n play in our bedroom, instead of DS's bassinet. and I was going to buy a 2nd pack n play for the living room.

I thought of this, but I was going to get the twin one which is bigger. Not sure how long they can play in there before it gets too crowded though.

We have the baby trend pack and play in the living room (the changing table can be flipped over with one hand or foot, very useful when you are holding 2 babies) then we registered for the larger graco square one to really be used as a larger playpen later on. and a friend gave us one that we use in our bedroom for them to sleep in.

I had planned on them sleeping in a pack n play but the first night home I didn't think it was sturdy enough for them ( new mom jitters) I made dh and my dad move a crib out of the nursery into our room. The girls slept in there for the first few weeks together. Then the acid reflux started and the girls then slept in their rock n play sleepers next to my bed till 2 months. Then they went back in the crib together. We separated them at 4 months and put them in the nursery.
