Is this normal?

DD first caught a cold about a month ago. She had some congestion and a cough. Nothing serious except she still has a persistent slight cough. Is this normal or should I be concerned? I dont think 7 month olds have seasonal allergies.

i would take her to the dr. if you're concerned but I do remember my daughter having a cough for a few weeks after a cold and the dr. said it can take a while till its all out of their system.

Re: Is this normal?

It is never too early for allergies IMO. Sounds like a back drip.. My son had 4 URI's from Dec 2011-March 2012. On and off antibiotics. He had a cough for 3 weeks after the last one. I put him back on Childrens's Claritin and within 48 hours, he cleared up and he hasn't been sick since. He has allergies to pollen, dogs, and cats. This winter has been bad on everyone.. I would take her back to the dr and see what can be done. DS was miserable with the cough. Couldn't sleep and wasn't eating.. He is a new kid now. He has been on Claritin for over a year now..

We first noticed an allergy around 9 months. Sneezing and runny nose and eyes after a visit to a friend with a dog. Dr said it was a cold. Then it happened again and again. I used Benadryl when he got bad. Puffy eyes and face... He had an allergy attack when we went pumpkin picking too. Damn hay!!!
