With my DD I was strept B positive too. Everything was totally fine.

I tested postive too. I was so suprised, since I wasn't postive with DS. I tested postive early on with I think a urine culture I had done. I switched OB at 24 weeks and as soon as they saw that, they said I didn't need to be retested. I really wanted to be retested since I think they maybe wrong.
Now I'm worried about getting antibotics while in labor. I'm worried I won't get to hospital in time.

Same here - except I had a DS.
They just give you antibiotics in labor.

It's very common. I wouldn't worry.
This. Try not to worry. My OB didn't even tell me I was +, I had a really quick labor and was still able to get the antibiotics no problem.

I was Strep B positive with my DD...I don't know yet about this baby but I am assuming it will be the same. I was upset too but everything was just fine. I stayed home until the contractions were consistently about 3-5 minutes apart...I went to hospital they started the normal IV's and just added the antibiotic. It wasn't a big deal. I did have a long labor, however either way there was plenty of time for me to get the meds I needed. You just may not be able to labor as long as you would like at home...I just waited until things were pretty consistent.
I know I can't make your worries go away but hope I can make the concern a little less. Good luck

I tested positive for my second DDs birth.
It really wasn't a big deal and I deliver fast. I just went to the hospital when my water broke. They immediately started the IV and got the two rounds in before the doctor checked me to see how far along I was so they didn't speed anything up.
By them time it was all done, I was 7cm and got my epi and had the baby about an hour later.
Everything was great.

Thanks girls!! It's what I read on google that scares me the most. Glad everyone else who had it was ok though.
