My baby has anemia
We took him for his 1st year check up and his blood work showed that his hemoglobin was 9 and normal is 11 and up. The pediatrician he sees is the same one my DH and SIL saw when they were kids. She wants to do more blood tests to r/o conditions such as spherocytosis that both my MIL and SIL have. This, of course, is freaking me out, despite the fact that my MIL told me DH tested negative and is not a carrier. Hopefully it is something that can be managed by diet and vitamins...DS is not a very good solid food eater. She prescribed vitamins + iron, so hopefully that will bring it up.
Anyone's DC ever been diagnosed anemic? Any advice?

I was anemic my entire life up until I got pregnant with my first and was fine.. My DS was anemic as well at his 1 year bloodwork but he is 7 now and is just fine..
