BTDT Dirty Diapers
What do you do with #2 dirty diapers? Do you have a special diaper pail? Is one necessary? I really don't want a diaper pail/diaper genie in the nursery but I'm afraid that the #2 diapers will stink up my regular garbage. Weird question, I know!

I throw them in my outside garbage cans. In the winter we sometimes put them in a grocery bag and put in he garage to throw out next time we leave

We EBF and cloth diaper. I have a trash can(with a pop up lid) in the laundry room that I put the diapers in. I wash every other day and it is never too stinky. You can't smell a thing until you open the lid.

I poopie bags from babies r us they are scented and really hold the poop smell in then i put it in my kitchen garbage which i empty 1 to 2 times a day...you can get them on sale or us a 20 percent coupon on them i think they are 50 bags for under 3 bucks well worth it IMO.....also great for when she does a number 2 on the road .

I use those scented diaper bags and then I toss them in the garbage outside. If it does get thrown out in the garbage inside, we'll just make sure to take it out later that day.

Ok, we emtpy ours once a day also, it's a small pail under our kitchen sink so I figured that would be fine since it gets emptied all of the time but then someone asked me if I wanted a diaper genie as a gift and I said no and they looked at me like I was crazy and disgusting, like I had to have one!

I bought those blue bags from Sassy I think. 
I toss them into the regular garbage bag and it's not to bad. After 2 days or so then it starts to smell but I usually take out the garbage every other day.

Ds1 we used a diaper champ. After a,while the smell seeped out. With ds2 we use sandwich baggies in the regular garbage. Sometimes we double bag it!

Same but I throw the #2 diaper in one of these first.
Im totally skeeved out by the idea of a Diaper Genie or anything like it.

me too..I was afraid it would be stinky but it is not, at all. Also you can empty as often as you want ( there is a cutter that allows you to cut the bag whenever you want, you do not have to wait for it to be full) so if you don't like the idea of having stinky diapers in there too long, empty it more often.

RocPin I don't like the idea of a diaper pail either. I don't want a garbage in my baby's room, I know it can be conveinent to have one in the nursery but it grosses me out and I don't see the point of having it anywhere else in the house. I rather carry the dirty diaper and throw it away somewhere else.
Those bags are a good idea. I will look into the bags and ziplocs and I will stock up on whatever is cheaper before the baby comes 
I really would like to try cloth diapering to save $ but between being a new Mom and wanting to try to EBF I will wait until I'm more settled to make that decision. I don't want to be too overwhelmed to start.

We throw them in the regular garbage. It gets emptied almost every day anyway. If it's really stinky I'll put it in a ziplock first. I used to use the scented disposable bags but I ran out and can't be bothered buying more. Too cheap.
I had a diaper pail when my DD was born and after a few weeks it stunk like sh*t.

I bought Diaper sacs from BJ's and throw them in their. They're baby powder scented and i've never had a problem.

This or with regular supermarket bags.

In our old apt we used to put them in little baggies and then put them in a small garbage can in DD's room. That was emptied once a day.
Now we bring the diapers right outside and put them in the garbage right away. We don't empty our kitchen garbage every day so I wouldn't want a stinky diaper in there for that long.

We do the same except we have a hanging washable bag... When on solids we flush poop down toilet then put diaper in the bag.

Hated the idea of a Diaper Genie or anything like that in the room. We toss them straight into the garbage in the kitchen which is taken out every day sometiems every other day. There's never been an issue.
