Playtex drop-ins worked for us, but that was the third type of bottle that we tried. I'd recommend only getting a couple of bottles before the baby is born. You never know what will work until he or she is here.

I started with Avent (stuck with them for weeks) but then tried Born Free and ultimately Dr. Brown's which made all the difference in the world! LOVE them! Even though I hand washed the million and 1 pieces for well over a year.

DS 1 I used Playtex Drop ins and loved them from day 1.

DS2 I used drop ins, then tried Dr browns when he started spitting up...they did nothing to improve it. Didnt see the big deal with them so I went back to drop ins.

We've been using Playtex Ventaire for my granddaughter from the beginning and they're worked just fine. Never had to switch for any reason.

So true! I only got a "newborn set" of Tommee Tippee hoping they would work out after my friend told me that he tried 3 brands of bottles before she found one her LO liked! So I registered for that, the bottle warmer, and the sterilizer. I was also planning to EBF, so I wasn't overly concerend with bottles. Whatever you get, just open/sterilize only the smallest package, in case you need to return them all! Turns out, Tommee Tippee works for my DS and he can go back and forth between bottle and breast.

Try a few different types before you commit. I have a huge bag of unusable drop in bottles because they didn't work for DD.

Target sells singles of a lot of different bottles.

Mam ant colic bottles are the only ones DD will eat from.

We also tried a bunch of different bottles including born free, avent, dr. brown's. DS did fine with the Dr. Brown's, but they were definitely a pain to clean every day!

We ended up using the playtex drop-ins and ventaire and were very happy with them both!

HTH! Good luck! Chat Icon
