NYC DOE pregnant mamas...
I left my notes from the maternity workshop at work 
In order to add the baby to my health insurance I need to call the helpdesk as soon as he is born, and fax a birth certificate as soon as I can...right?
I filled out all the other paperwork...TY

You won't get the birth certificate for a month or so. Your hospital can type up a letter for you stating that your baby was born in XYZ hospital on whatever date. Send that to the UFT when you get home, then forward a copy of the birth cert once you get it. KEEP COPIES OF EVERYTHING! It took six months to add DD to my insurance because they kept losing my paperwork.

I should have just FM'ed you   TY...I remember them saying something about HR Connect & adding the baby....they also said they cannot add the baby until the get the birth cert. but if I send a letter or something they open the file which is a good thing.
