parking ticket question??
I got a ticket while my car was parked at the train station for an expired inspection...UGGG I didn't even realize it! Someone told me that if I get the car inspected asap that I can contest the ticket... has anyone ever done this? I have never gotten a parking ticket before- do I have to go to court to get the ticket dismissed?? :(

You got a parking ticket or a ticket for expired inspection? I got a ticket for an expired inspection and immediately drove to the shop to get it inspected. Unfortunately they didn't care and I still had to pay the ticket.

I was told that if I took it to get inspected the next day and took the reciept/what have you to the precient to contest they will drop it...I could always ask DH when he gets home =]

I was told to mail it in with the ticket. Did that, then it came back saying I still need to pay the fine. My inspection was literally done 20 minutes after the ticket too.
