Exposure to chicken pox
I've hadchicken pox before (when I was 5) ...but there is two confirmed cases of it in summer school which I just found out today. Should I be concerned?
I'm supposively immune...however, I have heard that you can get chicken pox twice and it is more sever when you are an adult.
I called the doctor, but only spoke to the receptionist. She checked my file and said I was immune but I should try to stay away anyway....what does that mean? LOL
Any advice or prior experiences??

Re: Exposure to chicken pox
Even if you had the chicken pox and you have immunity, there's a very, very, very small chance you get shingles.
Exposure = more than 60 mins of direct contact with the blisters, saliva or any bodily fluids. I thought I was exposed in May and went through a whole song and dance.. only to find out that what doctors considered to be an exposure is NOT what I had. Anyway, I'd just be careful.. better to be safe.
