Talk to me about planning a trip to the wineries (using transportation)

I am thinking of doing this as a team building exercise if I can get an approval for it at work.



DH and I have been to a few, but obviously drove.

Please help me plan.

Also, we would have people coming from the city too so how does that work.......can a limo pick you up in a centralized location(s)?

We have used a company, I think it is called Metrol Limos or something like that. A few times we have had the limo pick us up at a centrally located LIRR station, that way there is parking/cabs/and trains for transportation. We have also met at one person's house and then hung out after where people either drank more, or hung out for the rest of the evening until it was safe for them to drive home.

I am looking to do this with some friends at the end of the summer. I just googled Long Island Winery tours an a whole bunch of companies came up. Most companies include everything from the transportation to lunch.
Depending on what type of tour, how many people, how long, it ranged from $80 pp to $120 pp.

LIRR has a wine getaway, if that is easier with everyone coming from the city.

We also paid about $120 per person and that included tastings at about 4 places, lunch , and transportation.
