Questions RE Hershey Park and a 2 y/o

We are going to Lancaster in a few weeks and we plan to visit Hershey (as well as Dutch Wonderland).

Can someone tell me how to plan the day in Hershey. We are staying in Eden about 30-40 min from Hershey.

Where are the best rides for a 2 year old? Are they scattered throughout the park or is there one particular section?

Are their water rides? Does she need her bathing suit?

Where would you recommend to eat In Hershey? Any of the hotel resturants worth it?

Any other advice is greatly appreciated!

We went last year and if i recall all of the kiddie rides were all in one section. There are other big rides throughout which are family rides which everyone can ride also.

There is a whole water area/sprinkler park playground. I would definitly recommend brining the bathing suit.

Also if you don't want to do the water part of it, you can just not enter that area, since it is a seperate area in the park.

went last year with my 2 y/o and she is still talking about it!! kiddie rides are in one area and she went on some alone!! (some you can go on with them others they have to do alone..this came as a shock but she did ok on 1). the water park is great for the kids..they can run through sprinklers so definately bring a suit! Have fun!! I just hope it's during the week..the water park gets pretty busy.

Kiddie Rides are scattered...there is one main section with the most, then several other kiddie rides in other areas.

I was just there two weekends ago with my 2.5 yo DD. Whoever said the kiddie rides are in one place was mistaken - they are scattered throughout the park. DD was scared to go on the ones she had to go on by herself, but she liked some of the ones I could go on with her - especially the mini log flume, I think it was called Tiny Timbers. The big hit for us was the water area - lots of sprinklers and water slides, and she loved the wave pool. Definitely bring suits and get the bracelet for the all-day locker rental - that way you can change, drop your stuff and not worry about it. We went when it opened (10 AM) and had intended to leave after lunch, get hand stamps and come back after nap for the sea lion show and dinner at the restaurant there, but DD wound up falling asleep in the stroller so we stayed. Still missed the show because it started raining, so we headed back to the hotel for a swim in their pool instead. I would definitely recommend renting one of their strollers instead of bringing yours - much easier and then you don't have to worry about it when you leave it to go on rides.

I wasn't wowed by any restaurant in the area. IMO the restaurant choices in PA Dutch country are much better.

Have fun!

I was just there last week.. there are different sections of the park and each section has kiddie rides.. so yes they are together in each scattered section of the park ; - )

You mean IN hershey? I am confused bc we are staying at Eden Resort- 40 min from hershey, does it make sense to go back and forth to let her nap?
