Am I being Silly - Anxiety over leaving children

Tomorrow, I planned a nice day in the city with a friend and DH would stay home with the kids. I was looking forward to this, as I am ALWAYS with my kids. Then, we were invited to his uncle's house and DH wants to go with the kids. He has a pool and DD will love it.
DH has never been alone with both kids away from our house. DD is 3 an DS is 10 months. I am little nervous about this, but something tells me I should really be ok about this and not so worried. There will be some close family there to help with the kids, but we are not that close with his uncle. I know from experience at family parties the children run around unsupervised, and I am the one stalking my child.
Should I cancel my day with my friend or cut the cord and go? Thank you for listening.

I would just tell your DH that you are nervous and to be extra cautious. He is their father so he should have no problem!!!

I'd be nervous because of the pool but you really just have to trust your gut. Tell dh your concerns and if he feels like he can handle both than maybe that will ease your fears.

Is your second a walker yet? If so - and your husband has to chase two kids in opposite directions that may be hard. If not, and the baby stays put for most of the day I would go and enjoy your day!

Being honest here. Father or not,I would not be ok with that. I am with DD 24/7, not DH. He really isn't used to watching her, doesn't know her every move like I might. So with 2 kids around a pool no less (which doesn't sound like something normal for you both) I would not be ok with that. Sorry if that sounds cruel but being a SAHM with daddy not really ever watching DC alone, I would not be ok with this re the pool aspect. That's just me, based on my life situation.
