Trying not to freak out
Well i went back to the ob today for a check up to see if there has a been any change to my cervix....i haven't felt any contractions since i have been home from being released from the hospital on saturday ( still could have been having them though) so i went today to get in internal soon and the news was not what i wanted to hear....i am down to about 1 centimeter left of my cervix so basically they let me go home cause the machine showed for a half hour no contractions so as long as i stay on bed rest at home and don't do anything there is nothing different they would do at the hospital except i would prob be more relaxed and comfortable at home. I finished my last reg of the incodin n stil currently taking procardia twice a day. Fat chance although i didn't want to go to the hospital being home is more comfortable but relaxed is far from my mind every movement in my belly makes me nervous now. Im so scared one trip to the bathroom is gonna moe my water break....im only 31 weeks today im still on the procardia twice a day....i have my next appointment next Tuesday ijusthope she hangs out for a couple more weeks...i would feel a lil better if i get to at least 34-35 weeks. The baby is fine healthy heartbeat it is just my stupid uterus giving me problems. I just hope it holds out lil a few more weeks for my To bake some more.
Also a il tmi question??.? Have any of u noticed some swelling going on down below I noticed it last night not painful just kinda uncomfortable n not very attractive.

Re: Trying not to freak out
no BTDT advice just
I hope your LO can hang in there a little longer.
I'm sorry if this sounds ridiculous, but if you are nervous about the bathroom...would you consider adult diapers? Maybe it would be help you stay relaxed?

Re: Trying not to freak out
I'm so sorry. Hope your LO stays comfy in there for a few more weeks.
About the swelling down below...I had that when I was in the hospital and still a little now. I asked my doctor and the nurse and they both said it's from all the IV fluids.
Hoping for the best for you.

Re: Trying not to freak out
Thank you ladies.....trust me i have thought about the depends ...but i can't bring myself to just let it go in my bed like that.
I just walk really slow and relax and calm myself down before getting out of my bed...im sure it's really mostly me working myself up.
About the swelling did your dr say it will go away ...not to be graphic or anything but it was ok last night and this morn then throughout the day today it just kind of irritaing only on one side which is we rid i thought maybe cause i have been leaning only left side most of the day the blood had been flowing better ...trying to stay on my right to maybe balance it out.....did you do anything to make the swelling go down at all ? My husband suggested wrapping a towel around an gel ice pack we have
Seriously no one tells you all these things when you first get pregnant just all the amazing things that could or will happen ...i def don't member reading all this stuff in the what to expect when your expecting book....either that or i just stopped reading before that chapter.
How far along are you that you were in the hospital on iv?

Nothing really helped the swelling, just give it some time. It's still slightly there, but hopefully will go away soon. I was scared to put anything on it, because I didn't want to make it worse. It's not pretty.
I'm 18 weeks pregnant. I lost one of my triplets and my water broke on that sac.
Hope you get some relief. Feel Better.
