Do you think it is practical for a 17 month old to wear crocs?
I saw just about the cutest crocs for DS, and wasn't sure if t would be practical for him to wear them. He is running, and I feel like he can trip and fall....but the saleswoman said they sell them all the time to toddlers...(probably just a good saleswoman )
He has Keens already, but they are more of a shoe/sneaker, and have the velcro
So...what do you think?

My DD had them at that age. They were her fav and so easy for me to just slip on

nope never on my kid. and he is 2.5. just feel that they are not completely stable and sneakers work best.

Depends on your kid. My DD was running all over at 12-13 months last summer in crocs and flip flops. Sure she would fall and trip sometimes, but not any more than if she had on sneakers or shoes. She felt more comfortable in them then sneakers.

My DD has them, but we usually use them for quick trips out or at the beach. For playing outside or on the playground she has Keens, which are awesome!

I would only think about using them for the beach and I'm not even sure about that. I think it's asking for a fall.

I fell in love with some crocs and got them for my 14 month old, she does really well in them, and LOVES them. And I think they are sooo adorable.
I was dead set against them until i saw another little girl at babygroup wearing some, and I caved.

Both my kids live in Crocs in the summer. I love them. DS is 15 months and is just starting to wear them. DD has worn them since a year.

Most definitely!!! DD wore corcs last summer at about 15 months and did great in them! She has 2 pairs now and LOVES them! Never had a problem walking or running in them at all.

My DS wore them all summer last year. I plan on getting a few different pairs this summer. He was 2 in dec.

It depends on your kid - my DS, who is also 17 months old, needs shoes with laces and such - otherwise, he'd be constantly taking them off!

At the beach. The are not goodshoes for walking, running and playing, especially for a new walker.

Yes, my DD has had them since about then. Now she is 2 years old and she can put them on and take them off by herself.

my DS wore them allllll the time last year.. so easy to put on and he could get wet in backyard and run around still.. he was same age too

ITA. I love them for my 4-year-old but baby won't be wearing them for a few more years...not enough support for my liking for the little feet.

We just bought a pair for DS to wear at the beach or on the boat. I also bought water shoes that fit snugly for the sprinkler park this summer!!! I probably won't let DS wear the crocs for everyday use though...

I agree. Most podiatrists will say no to Crocs
