Which color for the countertop?
I am trying to decide between tan brown granite (black mostly with hints of red) and new venetian gold (beigish with hints of red and black) for my cherry cabinets. I have attached some pics of what the color might look like. Which do you guys like better?
We are doing SS for the appliances and a SS chimney hood. The floors will be hardwood with a light cherry stain. I'll choose a light neutral backsplash no matter which color is chosen. Image Attachment(s):

I prefer the lighter granite. I also like the back splash in the first photo too.

The first pic because it's almost my kitchen to a T. I have Ouro Brasil which is a form of Venetian Gold-just a little more tuscan with a bolder pattern. I have a travertine tumbled subway tile as a backsplash. I don't care for the dark countertop with such dark cabinets.
