When did it sink in?

I know they say there are feelings of "Am I really pregnant?" in the first tri....... However...... since I'm having all this horrible bleeding from the SCH, it makes that feeling even stronger because I feel like I have AF!! The only moments in the day I really acknowledge the fact that I'm pregnant is when I wake up nauseated.......

So, when did it finally start to sink in? With my last pregnancy, I wanna say it was 12wks. I feel like that's how long it's going to take this time too. I strongly remember laying for the ultrascreen and seeing the baby looking so much more like a person. To me, that's when it really started to feel real. Right now, my babies are dots!! Re: When did it sink in?

Seeing the heartbeat at 7w was a relief but seeing the baby kicking and moving at 11w REALLY made it real Chat Icon

I feel like this is going to be because at 28 weeks I still feel like I'm dreaming. I feel Chat Icon all the time and have sonos practically weekly. I just keep thinking I'm going to wake up and it's not going to eb real. I think I'm going to have to hold the baby for it to feel real.

And SO happy to see you on this board!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: When did it sink in?

i have my moments where it's sunk in, and those where i forget i'm pregnant. it's sunk in when i get up every 20 minutes to pee. when ppl congratulate me and tell me i look great (or fat). when i go to bend or do some sort of movement and can't quite do it like i used to. when i knock into walls.
oh, and when i forget sh!t. lol.
other times i don't even think about it.

Re: When did it sink in?

I'm 37 weeks - and I think it's just sunk in today when my OB gave me the date of induction (in the event that Chat Icon doesn't come sooner - which we hope he will).

I still wake up every morning with a certain sense of surprise that the belly is still there - and he's jumping like crazy!

I'm not sure it has sunk in yet for me. I'm about 25 weeks and sometimes I completely forget I'm pregnant! Then I feel something move and wonder what the heck it was and then reality strikes, like duh... it's your baby! lol.

Even when I see the sonos, I still feel like I'm just watching a video.

I wonder if it will sink in when we have the baby's room ready, at the shower or when we're actually holding Chat Icon .

Re: When did it sink in?

Im 22 weeks and it really hasn't yet. I thought it would when I found out the sex but no. Then I though "well maybe once I start to feel him moving", nope....hopefully soon.

At 17wks, it hasn't really sunk in yet. And other than the Pam Anderson boobs, I dont really look pregnant either so I think thats part of it.

Re: When did it sink in?

28 weeks with my second and it STILL has not sunk in! With DD, I think it really only sunk in when I was actually at the hospital to give birth and I was like, oh wow, this is really really happening! lol!
