sonograms

Its a popular topic of conversation on here the number of sonograms people get and wanting to see the baby more etc...

I had two extra sonos one at 27 weeks and one at 37weeks and you just can't see anything fun on them. my favorite sono was at 19w.

my doctor even said today to the sono tech that he is amazed she can take measurements because you really just can't see anything...he was like the fun sonos are when they look like a little peanut. i was really amused to hear my doctor say what i have been saying on here to those who are sad they dont get as many sonos as others.

Re: sonograms

I think you responded to a post of mine from a few weeks ago - and it made me feel so much better that I hadn't had a good sono since my Level II!

Re: sonograms

i agree. my dr. said the last fun sono is at 20 weeks. after that, the baby's bones have calcified and you can't see much unless you go for one of those 3D ones.

Re: sonograms

I've had about 12 sonos the entire pregnancy, and tomorrow will be #13. Chat Icon

The best sono was the 12 wk because that was the first time the baby looked like a baby and it was bouncing around.

The subsequent sonos after that have been fun and it's nice to see the baby moving around, but it's almost like old news at this point.

Re: sonograms

For ME I wish I had more sonos available since it's been a few weeks since I've seen the baby. I have little to no symptoms of being pregnant being being bloated and my boobs got bigger. Everything else went away (sore boobs, gas, tired, food aversions). Being able to see it would calm me.

I can totally get the opinion of later on though since you feel the baby moving all the time.
