Movement at the end...
I am soooo not a paranoid person and very ladi back with pregnancy but I am having a hard time not comparing with my last.
DD was insane in the womb and always moving. She was also sunny side up and I think that is why she was still so crazy even at the end because all her lmbs were facing my stomach.
I am 37+ weeks and movement has slowed down. She still moves throughout the day but i feel like it is so much less than it was. If I get freaked out cause I dont feel her for a while I will push on my stomach and she kicks me back...
Also this time I am still working and chasing a 2 year old, so maybe I dont notice some of the movement when I am busy.
I will mention it at my appt on Tuesday, but I just wanted to know if anyone else is in the same boat.

Re: Movement at the end...
I can relate bc I was constantly taking care of JJ (10 months) when Nicholas arrived. Nicholas was a much mellower (word?) in the womb. I did the same as you, I would poke at my belly just to get a response.
Looking back, I did see a significant drop in movement before I delivered Nicholas. Since I was only 32 weeks, I did not think I was going to delivery.

Re: Movement at the end...
It was exactly the same for me - twins were crazy till the end, I felt A mostly at night, and even then it wasn't crazy movement. She was facing my back, so I'd just feel some shifting, kicks stopped in the early 30ish weeks. She did get the hiccups a lot though!

Re: Movement at the end...
I have mentioned this at my 36 and 37 week appts and went to l and d about it once, but they say he is moving normal for how big he is now... they seem to be less concered, but it still bothers me

Re: Movement at the end...
See I am the opposite. DS was not very active especially at the end....This kid is still all over hte place at 38 weeks.
It was totally DS's personality after birth too, he was really laid back, never fussed much, rarely cried etc...kinda like in the womb, he didnt move around too much, never woke me at night etc.
This one I am afraid of as its the total opposite.
I wouldn't worry espeically because you can get the baby to move when you push back. Some kids are just quieter in there, or maybe bigger and have less room to move!

I hope it's a sign of a mellow baby on the way...I wouldn't worry if the baby kicks back at you.

Re: Movement at the end...
my movement slowed too, and it was more like slow movements as sopposed to the quick kicks and jabs. The sono tech said that they would be concerned if the movement was slow and the fluid was low too.

Re: Movement at the end...
Personally I cannot, but I do remember my SIL telling me that with her first, he moved all the time right up til the end. I remember us sitting and watching her stomach move around a week before her due date. With the second, she said she hardly ever felt him moving.

Re: Movement at the end...
I noticed this as well. In the beginning she moved around constantly. She was really active. Now, even though, I still feel movement it's just not as frequent as it was. I think towards the end they just run out of space to move. It's competely normal for them to be less active at the end.
