Do you have a birth plan?
I found some ideas in WTEWYE, but I was curious if anyone had an example to share.

Re: Do you have a birth plan?
I didn't have a full out birth plan, but I had some ideas as to what I wanted. I kept my mind open though because you never know what is going to happen.
I knew that I wanted to try to go without an epi if possible but that the pain would decide. I ended up getting morphine for pain, and had wanted the epi, but I dilated too quickly and ended up not being able to get it. I also knew that I wanted to BF and so they tried to do that right away after he was born.
Make sure your labor coach knows your plans!! Because of the morphine, and then the fast dilation, I was pretty out of it for the whole thing. DH was my voice. He was the one who decided that I would go for an epi (I was waking up out of the morphine induced slumber practically tearing the bed apart I was in so much pain - but because of the morphine once a contraction was over I didn't even know it). He let the nurses know that I was going to BF. I was definitely in no condition to decide or communicate anything.

Re: Do you have a birth plan?
No, I didn't have one with my first dc and I won't this time either. IMO labor/delivery are too unpredicitable.
I've seen too many friends go in with a set plan in mind only to be disappointed in the end that things didn't happen the way they "planned".

Drugs and prayers for a quick labor??
I don't. I will talk to my doctor about it. We also plan on taking a "lamazee" class so that should help...

Re: Do you have a birth plan?
the pregnancy app for my phone has one and you check off what you want or what you don't want and you print it out. I have yet to do it though.
