I'm curious - if you don't like the majority of posters on LIF why people continue to post here?
I see so many threads where people claim that they dislike MOST of the LIF posters. I'm not sure I understand why they still post here then?
For the most part I have no issues with anyone (except for maybe one or two people) but if I had problems with the majority of the women on this site I wouldn't even waste my time on here.
Is it just to disagree with them?
Just to bittch out someone when they having a bad day?
I truly don't get it. If it were me I would take my few friends from here, make a little Facebook group, and not associate with these people.
Please help me to understand this because it just seems like a lot of energy into hating people they don't even know.

Because LIF is a wonderful resource and has a wealth of information for people who don't know how to use Google 
FTR, I don't hate anyone on here, but it doesn't take a lot of energy at all to dislike some.

Like others have said, I don't think there is anyone I dislike.
There are people whose posts make me  but I avoid their posts, just like I would on any other forum.

I don't think it's true.
If it is true, it's a very very very sad state.
why would you waste your time...minutes of your life engaging in something you don't at least MOSTLY enjoy.
people who make my experience less than desirable are for the most part ignored. but there are very few people in the world, let alone on this board that I actively dislike.
it's a total and complete waste of time IMO.

Because as in real life, there are cliques on here and some people seem to like being a part of those, even if its just to start or contribute to drama.
I personally don't hate anyone on here (how could i, i don't know really truly 'know' anyone), but there are definitely people who post that i find myself always disagreeing with or being annoyed with - but i just choose not to respond to those posts
I think the majority of people that post here are decent and I always enjoy seeing differing points of views on things that may not have otherwise occurred to me

I think a lot of the time the person is caught up in drama and make melodramatic statements like that in the heat of the moment.
It's like the big "I'm leaving the boards forever" threads and within a month they are usually back.

I really can't fathom any scenario where I would "hate" someone on the internet that I don't even know. Yes, there's quite a bit of immaturity, and there are some posters whom I repeatedly disagree with, but they are a minority and I just ignore their posts, usually...

I have no problems with anyone on here. I never respond on any posts that start drama (but I definitely do read them... somethings gotta get me through work )
I really just post for advise or just some simple thought I thought was cute and thought would share. Mostly about DS 
Anyway... as far as the drama posts go... I really don't think that the posters intends to start a big drama thread. There are some things I want to vent about and then stop myself b/c I don't want to be judged by pple I don't know. I either keep it to myself or pick up the phone and call a friend or my mom. That's me. I do read the other posts and then get their point of view and think... hmmm, I can see why they're annoyed. Then I read someone giving their advise that totally disagrees and I think... hmmm, they have a good point too.
Darn... I'm a fair weather friend. THis is why I stay away

I am not ashamed to admit I have a love/hate relationship w/LIF. I love most of the threads and the people here. But there's always a bunch who ruin it for me so completely with their incessant whining, complaints and complete inability to function on a daily basis. A lot of people need a lot of handholding.
I don't intend to ever be a dramastarter, but I will call a spade a spade if I see it. There are a LOT of posters who do it just for kicks.
Call me a misanthrope but I am being honest.
ETA: I have NO problem with the OP, but I think this thread is begging for

Like I said, there are a few posters I've had it out with, and I don't even open up their posts anymore. It's not worth my time to read what they have to say because I know for the most part I will just get fired up.
Heather - I'm not trying to start drama - I am really wondering why people continue to post here if they dislike most of the LIF posters. I just think that's alot of energy to put in to fighting with strangers. Again, I'm not saying disagreeing with one or two people randomly - I'm talking about a full out disdain for most of the people who post here on a daily basis.

Because I feel that even though there's unsavory parts to this board, I enjoy the good that I get out of it. Just because I am not all kumbaya 100% of the time doesn't mean I can't post here or get some good out of it

ITA - I deactivated myself from LIW for that reason, I just disliked 1 or 2 "ringleaders/clique-y drama queens" on that site who just annoyed me so I stopped going there (although I met some great people there too who I did befriend offline) ..but as for LIF - I have to admit some days at work are sooo  I just like reading the topics on here...there are always NEW people joining LIF and posting new ideas so fresh meat is always nice.
I would think that anyone who really habors intense hatred for a whole community would simply not bother coming back to this board. The one thing we can all agree on is that we are free to disagree! Everyone has an opinion, doesn't necessarily mean they are right or wrong.

I dislike some stuff. I dislike some actions. I dislike some posters. I think some posters are truly mean spirited. I think most people feel the same.
I left LIF then came back because I missed some boards like SN. I am learning to stick to my preferred boards and not get $ucked into drama.
Some posters have serious balls on the internet and I wonder if they are really that bad or bullies IRL.

i'm mostly a lurker..just reading for info while at work, not replying to much because i am busy, but, i don't dislike anyone. i try not to judge people by things they say on message boards. i know i don't want to be judged as a person by some things i post here and there, possibly in haste.
HOWEVER. it is is impossible to not think some people are well, stupid. whether it's their grammar and inability to ever string a coherent sentence together, or their small mindedness.
but for the most part i keep that s#!T to myself.
i had to defend myself once against a snotty a$$ puta who told me off when she didn't even read what i wrote but whatever....that's the internet for ya.
