Writing letters to companies for defective products
I have two items that broke from being defective (a crib and a pari of shoes) I was chatting with my friend and she said I should definitely write letters to the companies.
Maybe this is a dumb question but, other than describing what was wrong, what would you write?

Re: Writing letters to companies for defective products
Whenever I wrote to companies, I wrote asking for refunds. Usually they give you a coupon to purchase a new product of theirs....

I agree and state your disappointment in the product as well

yes definitely write and explain what the problem is and what you would like them to do about it.
photo copy it if its for something big (like the crib) in case they dont get back to you... so that you can say 'look i already wrote to you on this date'.
give them the opportunity to fix it. most companies will!!

Jenn, I just called Procter/Gamble, about my allergic response to April Fresh Downey, with "pearls". They sent me a refund immediately!!! Is there a toll free number you can call? Mary
