Lovenox Ladies
Do you get your blood monitored by your dr? My Dr told me yesterday I don't need to get it monitored. I thought that was weird. My blood dr does want to see me next week anyway, but I just thought they should be checking on me,
I was wondering what you ladies did. I dont see a high risk dr either. He said there is no need. I see Dr. Clifford Goldstein.

My doctor took my blood 4 hrs. after my first injection of Lovenox, but doesn't check every time I go there. I find it weird too, but I guess they know what they are doing.

True. I trust my dr. I'm just a worrier! Seems weird that I'm injecting myself with blood thinners and they aren't checking my blood. Thanks

My peri has me get my blood drawn monthly to monitor.
I have to have my blood drawn 4 hours after I give myself the Lovenox.

i see Dr. Goldstein too and he does not monitor my blood on lovenox. ive been on lovenox since before the BFP cause I did IVF with Dr. B. even dr. B only drew my blood in relation to lovenox once, right after the BFP. i dont really think there is much to monitor. lovenox thins your blood so it doesnt clot in the placenta or anywhere else but theres not much else a blood test will reveal. whatever you have that is causing you to have to take lovenox does not go away because you are on lovenox so theres nothing to really monitor.

When I was on Coumadin I got checked every months.
I went off coumadin after a few months and go on lovenox just as a precaution. They do not monitor my levels.

I see Dr. Kofinas and he does monitor me with a blood test every 3 weeks. I have to take the shot exactly 4 hours prior to the blood test.
