I sent DH out for a few items from the store, one that made my list was ginger root. I get a little queesy at night and during the day from time to time (can't call it morning sickness b/c it's anytime but morning, morning is when my appetite is best and my stomach feels good). I am on both Lovenox and 81mg ASA daily due to 3 genetic clotting deficencies.

Anyway, I wasn't sure how to "make" the tea with fresh ginger root, so I did an internet search and found out I may not be able to use the ginger we bought. Apparently ginger has anti-clotting properties and the U of MD article I read said not to use while on blood thinners unless under supervision of a doctor. It's the weekend and this is certainly not an emergency, but how potent is this stuff? If I just seep some shredded ginger (but remove it after a few seconds), will I do any "damage". Anyone try it? I'm not in dire pain or anything right now, but every so often I could feel better. DH got me ginger ale too, but when I checked the ingredients on the bottle it has a lot of junk in it, but no ginger.
